I have made progress

I did get down to a few jobs and finish them. Not just good enough, but properly. This was very satisfying - setting goals and achieving them is what I consider success.

I did however fail miserably with one task that I started. When my son was playing games all day I suggested we do something and so we did. We made a candle, and then did some turning and made a gavel. He was interested and enjoyed it, and I was glad I got him away from the array of devices he plays with. I felt like a good father for doing that in a nice way rather than just telling him not to play on the computer, DS, Nintendo, Xbox. So I don't see that as failure, just a different success to what I intended.
